Revell Books
Fiction/Suspense/Mystery
Medical Examiner Serena Hopkins awakens to someone inside her home, and they are looking for something. She knows what they want, it is the package her friend , Jillian sent her. What she does not realize that, this is just the beginning. Dead class mates show up with gifts left on them and poorly written poems. Copycat murders, following the MO and patterns of the Doll Maker Killer. What is frightening is that all of the people who have been found dead are class mates of Serena's.
Dominic Allen, Serena's best friend Alexia's brother, arrives on the scene, and quickly finds himself as the lead FBI investigator for these crimes. He is highly attracted to Serena, and their friendship grows quickly but he is afraid he will not be able to protect her from the crazy person who is doing these crimes.
What I liked (loved) about this book: The suspense is awesome, you feel the creepy feelings when something bad is fixing to happen, you can nearly hear that suspense theme music from the movies. The chemistry among the whole team is great too, and the attraction between Serena and Dominic is sizzling without, while still being believable.
What I did not like about this book: There is nothing I didn't like. I loved this book!
Conclusion: If you read the first book in this series, you will be excited that the story picks up where the other book left off. There are conclusions to some story lines, but you also are left knowing there is another book coming in this series! This book was true Lynette Eason! LOVED it!! 328 pages US $14.99 5 stars
