REVIEW | Mary Magdalene

Diana Wallis Taylor

WOW!  I love stories about Biblical characters, I think because it makes them come to life for me.  I know often that they are the imagination of the author, but it still makes the Bible come to life as I read it.
I love this story of Mary Magdalene, a woman plagued by demonic forces who Jesus heals and delivers.  A story of love, the love of a young man for his wife, willing to search for healing for her fears, a love for a woman plagued by demonic forces by our Savior, and the love of the woman for her Savior.  Diana Taylor truly brings a story that is so beautiful.  In the Bible we don't know much of Mary of Magdala, except that Jesus cast demons from her, and that she followed him, but Taylor has taken this bit of information and wrote a wonderful story.  A great book for your summer reading pleasure.  A book you do not want to miss this summer.  292 pages US $14.99 5 stars
