 Lilly Hart is determined she will not let her deceased husband's family take her six year old son.  What she does not realize is how determined Claude Hart is.  In fact, he is so determined he will go far beyond what anyone would expect from a respectable business man, and outstanding lawyer.  She will make it on her own, working long hours at the lunch stand at Lake Manawa, she cooks daily for the work crew who are there building a roller coaster ride for the park there at the lake.  

Nick Perrin is determined he will make a name for himself in the world of roller coaster designers and builders.  In fact he is determined to work his way up to owning his own company.  At the edge of a business that is just at the beginning of its popularity, he has his eye on moving up.  However there is a distraction.  A woman, who he knows needs his help, but who is too stubborn to accept that help, and more.
I read this book while I was out this weekend at a park on the river, it was a good read.  I enjoyed the setting, and found the historical side of the story fascinating.  I give this book 4 stars.
