I loved these books, Alex Armstrong a new minister has come to his first charge, two churches in the middle of nowhere in North Dakota. Two churches that were polar opposites, one openly welcome and warm and the other leery and suspicious. Alex however just loves on the congregations of both churches, healing the divide, and also healing his broken heart. For my review purposes I am not separating these books, they continue just months apart, so it was more like one long book instead of two books to me. I so enjoyed getting to know the congregants as Alex did. As a pastor's wife myself (and a pk too) it was a very refreshing story. I highly recommend this book and easily give it is a 4 star rating.
