PJ Sugar has something to prove, or at least she thinks she does.  She promises everyone that she will help them.  In a new job with Jeremy Kane, as a Private Investigator, she feels invincible.  Boone, her high school sweetheart doesn't like any of it.  The job, the danger, the working with Jeremy, all he wants her to do is to quit and marry him.
PJ just knows that she is a different person than she was in high school and isn't totally sure that Boone is in love with her or the her she was in high school.  And why does Jeremy keep invading her thoughts, why does she compare the two?
This new case is a doozy, she is a witness stand in, and finds out she is in danger.  Not only from the people trying to keep the real witness from testifying, but PJ is pretty sure the pitcher of Fast Pitch softball team would like to hurt her also. Not to mention that the witness's silly chinchillas bite her every chance they get.
How does she keep getting into dangerous situations?  What will she decide? Susan May Warren has given us another on the edge of our seats story about PJ.  Definitely you will not want to miss this book.  334 pages, US $13.99 5 stars.
