A New Home for Lily

The Adventures of Lily Lapp
Book Two
Mary Ann Kinsinger
Suzanne Woods Fisher
2013
Fiction/Youth

Ohh, I just love Lily Lapp, she is a precious little girl, who most of the time thinks much older than she should.  She worries a bit too much but is also all child with her honesty and truthful ways.  She admits when she is selfish, and mean.  She tries hard to always be kind, but some people really make that hard for her.  This story was just delightful.  I enjoyed it so much, it is so fun to see Lily grow.  This book took us through her second and third grade years, and we saw her as she became more confident and assured.  I cried with her as she faced disappointments, the story of the doll broke my heart, that was very hard to comprehend for me as an adult, I can only imagine a little girl trying to come to terms with it.  A great book from two wonderful storytellers.  266 pages US $12.99 5 stars.  This book was provided for review purposes only, no payment was received for this review.

Available February 2013 from your favorite seller of Revell Books, a division of Baker Publishing.
