Fiction/Romantic Suspense
WOW!! Irene Hannon has done it again! Another wonderful story, full of suspense, drama and intrigue, oh and a bit of romance too! Reporter Moira Harrison has had a strange experience during a horrible rainstorm. She is sure her car struck a woman in the road before she lost control. A man stops to offer to help but help didn't come and she passes out. However when the police finally are called and arrive, no one is found that has been struck by her car. Is Moira loosing her mind, seeing things or did she just imagine what she seen. She tries to do a bit of research on her own but realizes she needs professional help. Enter Cal Burke of the private investigation firm Phoenix, Inc, he was nice but was not sure how he could help Moira. However he did promise to look into her story, checking some sources that she could not access.
A news report that Moira caught on tv by chance, clues her into who the unknown man who stopped that night of the accident. Surely a highly respected doctor could not be involved in this mess. That is exactly what Moira and Cal will have to determine. The attraction between these two characters is palpable.
This story hooked me from page one and kept me interested until the last page. I was sure I had it all figured out, and was close but there were surprises! I love surprises in suspense books. A great story that you will want to add to your permanent library! CAN.NOT. WAIT for Book 2 in this series coming this fall! 314 pages US $14.99 5 stars.
