WOW!! I love Christmas books, and this one did not disappoint me. What a beautiful story! While I do read lots of historical books, they are not on the top of my favorite genre list, but this story was just a great timeless story.
Celia Anderson is a young beautiful Swedish widow, left with a six month old daughter, when her husband Josef dies in a mining accident. Using the small inheritance she has left from her parents death, five years earlier, Celia buys a huge house in town and begins running a boarding house. Mark Williams, rides into town, looking for the father who abandoned him and his mother. He is full of anger and hurt at believing all his life his father was dead, only to find letters from him, in his mother's things after her death, that fuels his anger. Finding his uncle and realizing his father is dead, Mark knows he has to deal with this anger. Using his carpentry skills to earn a living and to tide him over for the winter, he finds he is being kept very busy. Loved the twist at the end, no spoilers here, you have to read the book to find out!! A story that will draw you in from the first page. I enjoyed this book so much, I could not put it down. A great book, a beautiful story! 172 pages US $14.99 5 stars.
