Candace Johnson, has lost a lot, her momma, her husband and now two years after her husband, here comes another devastating loss.Her best friend Pamela was found murdered. This murder is high-profile, with Pamela a defense lawyer, she wasn't always the prosecutor or the police's favorite person. Her father being a judge also puts pressure on the police to solve this crime.
Detective Darnell Jackson finds that everyone seems to know each other in this investigation. His partner is aquainted with the murder victim, and her best friend Candace, was the wife of Brunson's
former partner, and his own aunt Beulah, knew them all. Would they be able to find the truth about who wanted Pamela dead?
This book was a great debut novel for Tyora Moody. She gives us a great story full of suspense, with unexpected twists and turns. I truly enjoyed this story and so will you if your a suspense fan. Dealing with many hard issues in this story, Tyora Moody, does so with excellence and finesse. Definitely a book that I recommend! 4 stars!
