Kaye Redmond has a new life, one she did not choose for herself.  The life of a single mom.  Her husband Cliff, left her for another woman, and she found herself having to start over.  She started a new business and is doing well, but change is coming.
A botched plastic surgery finds Kaye taking care of her ex-mother-in-law.  She is not doing it out of kindness, she has ulterior motives, she hopes that by doing this, it will bring Cliff back and their marriage can be restored.  However Kaye is quickly learning that this might be more than she bargained for.  Her mother-in-law has not become any kinder than she ever was, and she is always criticizing Kaye, and her sixteen year daughter Isabel.
A new client turns Kaye's world topsy turvy upside down.  Jack is a very successful businessman that seems to have a knack for understand how Kaye feels.  He and Gabe, his best friend's son who lives with Jack after the death of his father, enter the life of Kaye and Izzie, along with their big fuzzy dog Cousin It, and life will never be the same.  Is this a good thing or not?  Kaye is not sure.
A wonderfully amusing story, you will sit back and laugh at the antics of Cousin It, and the antics of Marla the mother-in-law.  Leanna Ellis once again shows her excellent story telling ability in this delightful book!  304 page  $14.99 US 5 stars
