Varina Denman’s ‘Jilted’ $50 Sweet Summertime Giveaway

My Thoughts
I have to start out by saying I haven't read the other books in this series, but this book does stand alone. I also have to include that I normally do not enjoy books that have people who are depressed, or struggle with depression in them. So all of that aside, I will say I struggled to get into this story. But because a friend had spoken so highly of this author's books, I pressed on, and I was happy I did. The suspense part of the story drew me. If you're a suspense fan, you will know Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, always alluded to the fact that small villages (towns) have secrets. And oh boy, did Trapp Texas have its fair share of secrets. From ex-convicts to gossiping blue hairs, you will see small town living at it's finest. (tic) But you will also see what is good about small town living too. A good story, a solid 4 stars from this reviewer.

She spent her high school years in a rural town and now writes stories about the struggles women face in similar small town settings. She and her husband live near Fort Worth, where they enjoy spending time with their five mostly grown children.
