My Thoughts:
I love this book, from the bright picture on the cover, to the actual feel of the cover. But inside the book is where you find the true treasure of this book. Recipes, lots and lots of mouth-watering recipes. The thing I noticed is they are all using ingredients I have in my home. A huge plus for me. My favorite thing about the book, is the snippets posted along with the recipes. Little stories sharing her family life, sharing memories connected to the recipes. My favorite snippet was when she stayed in the tree reading, because she thought her sister was calling her to help do chores, when she was calling her for homemade ice cream. Ouch! That had to hurt, but avoiding her work, cost her a bowl of homemade ice cream. So one thing we are encouraged to do is cook a recipe and post pictures of it. Sure that is great, IF I COULD DECIDE WHICH ONE TO TRY!! LOL So I am creating a sort of poll here. I am going to list 4 recipes that caught my eye, the title of the recipe, the page it is on..and your job is to leave a comment saying which I should make. The recipe with the most comments will be prepared next week and pics posted.
1. Banana Waffle Whoopie Pies pg 201
2. Blueberry Buckle pg 214
3. Moist Chocolate Cake pg 157
4. Black Midnight Cake pg 156
Be sure to leave your comment on my blog for your vote (www.cindylovenreviews.blogspot.com)
And by the way, this book SO gets a 5 star rating. I look forward to your votes, and comments
