My Amish Boyfriend Review

My Thoughts:
I thought this book has some interesting concepts.  A family member meeting an Amish family she never knew existed.  A young daughter trying to take care of an ailing mother on her own, and fighting as an advocate to improve her mother's health.  All very good concepts.  I enjoyed the story, the struggle that Shannon faced as she tried to come to terms with whether she could fit into the Amish faith, or if her English faith was what would sustain her.  Pros of the story, great writing, as usual from Melody, Shannon was someone you wanted to be friends with, even though she was a bit confused about several things.  Cons of the story, way too much passion and a bit too racy in some parts.  The romance was a bit fast for a YA story.  Over all, a great book 4 stars from this reviewer. ABOUT THE BOOK:
Shannon's summer just got a whole lot more . . . Amish?

Shannon McNamara has exciting plans for the summer--getting her driver's license, a job, and more--and she can't wait to dive in. But her ill mother has plans of her own: to relocate them both to the heart of Amish country in Ohio where she has relatives who can help her.

Turns out a "simple" life is actually a lot of hard work. But when a hot young Amish guy named Ezra enters the picture, Shannon's ready to get an Amish makeover and even consider making it a permanent change. Will these plans come crashing down around her too? Or can she really make the jump into a whole new way of life?

Teen favorite Melody Carlson brings fans another surprising story of worlds--and families--colliding.
