Blue Moon Bay

My Thoughts:  First off your wondering why in the world I am posting a review from a book from 2012.  Well it is like this..I was cleaning out some books and checking my reviews to make sure I have posted them all and well I reviewed books one and three in this series but not this book.  I read it.  So here is a review..Ta-da!! (LOL)
We all have baggage, Heather Hampton seems to be hauling a truck load of it around!  From dealing with her feelings toward her dad, who passed away while she was angry with him, to hating her mother, and frustrated with her brother for never growing up.  She vowed never to return to Moses Lake, but an assignment at work that could move her up the corporate ladder, has her rethinking this decision.  This story was a great story, but there weren't many (if any) real connections to the first story in the series.  A bit slow in places but really exciting in the last few chapters.  I enjoy Lisa Wingate's books, there is a certain something about them that keeps you coming back for more.  4 stars US $14.99 384 pages.

About the book:
Every Once in a Blue Moon Your Heart Waits at a Crossroads

For Seattle architect Heather Hampton, a trip back to tiny Moses Lake, Texas, is hardly in the plan. Yet because a promotion hinges on the sale of the family farmland, Heather heads to the last place she ever wanted to go. She's determined to return home, signed contract in hand, the next day.

But the currents of Moses Lake take visitors on unexpected journeys. As Heather's stay lengthens, she discovers a family steeped in secrets and an unexpected connection to local banker Blaine Underhill, despite his opposition to Heather's project. With each new revelation and question, Heather can't help but wonder if the handsome banker--and the family she has come to know again--are crooks or crusaders. Somehow she must find out the truth before she loses everything she has worked for and everything she's found on the shores of Moses Lake.
