Polly Perkins, is excited.  A chance to branch out beyond her family studio, as a photographer, with the possibility of a nature segment in a magazine, plus she is also going to be taking photographs of her best friend's wedding, while at the beautiful Caldera National Park.  What she does not know and could not have foreseen, is that she is fixing to be thrown right in the middle of a murder investigation.
A man, that she blames for her best friend in high schools death, turns up at the Park and then he turns up dead.  For years she has blamed Alec Gordon for her friend's death, but now she is afraid that annimosity, will cause her to be a suspect in a murder case.  However that seems to be the least of her worries, since her mother was heard in the cafe of the park, saying she wished he was dead.  Then an old flame of hers becomes center of attention in the case, when it is learned that he threatened the man.
Polly, knows that somehow she has the key to find out who killed Alec Gordon, maybe it is in the many pictures that she has been snapping since she arrived.  Nosing around and asking questions, seems to be putting her in danger, so she must be careful.
This is the first book I have read by Elizabeth Goddard, and I found it very enjoyable, it moved fast, the characters were crisp and clear, even the dingy ones, like Polly's mother.  I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more from this author.  249 pages $10.99 US 4 stars.
