An end time story, a work of fiction, similar to the second coming films presented in the late seventies, and early eighties, is how I would classify this book. With a twist.
Pastor Jack has pastored his community church in the small town of Jordan Oklahoma, ever since his dad passed away, he has woken on a day he thought would be like any other day, to find out during his sleep, something major happened. The government is declaring it an act of terrorism, but others including Pastor Jack think it is something totally different. They believe the trumpet has sounded, and after seeing known dead people risen from their graves, they are sure it was the trumpet and the rapture of the church is soon. Will Pastor Jack be able to convince people that Jesus is coming before it is too late?
This story is a timely story, while I don't necessarily agree with the theology aspect of the rapture presented in the book, I do agree that the Lord is coming and it is SOON! I truly enjoyed this book, and was pleased to review it. I rarely review self published books, but was glad I took a chance on this book. I hope to be asked to review the next book in this series. 208 pages 4 stars.
