Roland March has been farmed out. Loaned to different departments, he is a "has been" homicide detective. Until, he goes out on a case and notices a specific clue that others have missed. Allowed to work on the case, he has trouble following orders and protocol about who the lead is, so off he is shipped to Missing Persons.
Frustrated but convinced that his murder investigation and the missing person case he is on, is somehow connected, he pushes harder than he should and makes no friends fast. On the outer fringes of the case, is a situation with some dirty cops that end up being drug right into the middle of both cases. Determined to find the connection, he puts himself in danger and is shot by a street thug. Roland March will find the answers to this case if it is the last thing he ever does.
I truly enjoyed this book, I love watching crime tv, and this was a great book. In some places you really had to pay attention, to the scenes as they flashed by quick, I did catch myself re-reading pages, because I would miss things. This book is definitely a great read for mystery and suspense lovers! 382 pages US $14.99 4 stars
