Miranda Klassen has stepped back in time.  At least that is what it seems like.  Called to direct the music for a Christmas program, in an Old Order Mennonite congregation, she did not totally realize what she was in for.  But it didn't take her long to realize that theMennonite church her father pastors and this church are very different.
Ted Wiebe, is a bit out of sorts.  He really did not think they needed to bring in someone special to do the music for this program, even it was going to be the biggest outreach their church had ever had.  As the worship leader, however he presents a united front and agrees to work with Miranda, but he is positive this is a mistake.
Two people passionate about music and the Lord, from miles apart physically, but centuries apart in beliefs.  Thrown together working on the program sparks fly.  Can this be love?  Can two people who are polar opposites love each other?
A wonderful story of meshing old and new traditions, of embracing change in the church and of love, Gail Sattler has written a book that you will not want to put down.  Release date May 2010.  275 pages $13.99 US 4 stars
