Carina Maria DiGratia, is a spoiled young woman, used to things always going her way. Imagine, her distress, dismay and anger to find that the house she thought she bought was not hers. Running away from a fiance who hasn't been faithful, she makes her way to a mining town called Crystal Colorado.

A beautiful area, that has been marred by mining, and by ruthless men. Crystal is not a town safe for a beautiful young Italian girl such as Carina, taken in and "cared" for by the attorney Berkley Beck, Carina quickly finds herself in the midst of a mess. Two men are vying for her trust, who should she trust, the smooth talking lawyer who has given her a job, but seems just a bit shady or the "devil-don't-care" freight driver, who pushed her wagon over the cliff after it busted a wheel?

A reprint from Bethany House The Rose Legacy is a story that is very detailed and a bit slow moving it is all in all a good story. I enjoyed the story and give it a four star rating. 415 pages $13.99 US 4 stars
